Leapfrog was founded in 1992 by a group of parents looking for a playgroup for their little preschoolers. After a couple of temporary locations around Sai Kung, we moved into our current home in 1996 and have not looked back since!
Leapfrog is a non-profit school run by the School Director and supported by the parent committee board. We are situated just inside the beautiful Sai Kung Country Park. Leapfrog provides a spacious, natural environment for your child to grow and learn through play.
It is all about space at Leapfrog with gardens, forest and woodlands to explore, an outdoor sandpit, mud kitchen, water play and covered classroom areas as well as indoor classrooms. We run kindergarten classes, playgroups, parent and baby classes and a Forest School program.
The most important aspect of our school is that the children are happy. We feel that it is extremely important for children to enjoy their first experience of school life and that they are prepared for what comes next. By nurturing inquisitive minds and fostering a love of learning the children are encouraged and supported as they develop key skills that prepare them for the next stage of their developmental journey.
Leapfrog allows children to explore, investigate and play through freely chosen activities alongside adult-initiated activities. The learning takes place mainly outdoors in our large outdoor classroom, garden and forest which provides children with the freedom and space in a beautiful natural setting in which the children can run, climb, be creative and acquire a natural curiosity and hands-on understanding of the natural world, to tell stories, grow and explore in a safe environment.
